In the remotest location of Myorepur block, which is located at on of the remotest location of Sonebhadra district which is the only tribal majority district of Uttar Pradesh and categorized as naxal affected and least developed
Village Background:
An school has been run by Chetna, an E-Voice since 20 years. Recently 500 children were enrolled. As the school has not been recognized by state machinery, there was rumour that state machinery has given notice to such schools to be closed down. On this ground funding agency has stopped funding. As executive team of Chetna has been defunct, no one took initiative for taking legal status. Amid this situation Gram Pradhan, Nemna along with a team of responsible villagers approached Navodaya Mission Trust, an NGO active in this area for running the school. Seeing the gravity of the problem, Navodaya Mission Trust decided to restart this school with new vigour. As the school is located on land which is partly public land and partly to a villagers (….name..). Recently Omprakash has bought the land and he is under process for transferring land title under his name. Both party has agreed to transfer the land on the name of Navodaya Mission Trust and also given consent to run the school and other academic activities even though the title of land has not been transferred on the name of Navodaya Mission Trust. A consent letter has been taken from recent Chetna Body which has no objection and further they have agreed to get affiliated with Navodaya Mission Trust for legal purposes.
Academic Plan of Navodaya Mission Trust:
- Chetna School : An school from class one to fifth. This school will be run as per school curricula. A local management committee will be formed in democratic way which will be certify by Navodaya Mission Trust as its representative body in the village. This local management committee will be responsible for all the affairs of the schools following the broader guideline of Navodaya Mission Trust. In case of any dispute the decision of authority of Navodaya Mission Trust would be final.

- Navodaya Mission Academy: This will also be run by local management committee of Nemna in the similar way as Chetna School. This will act like a coaching center for class 6 to 10. Further it will give coaching for the preparation of Entrance Examination of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and Government Polytechnique colleges.
- Navodaya Mission Pustakalaya, Nemna. This will be run for developing reading culture among the students.
- Navodaya Mission Computer Center, Nemna. This will be used for computer literacy and facilitating some professional courses on line with digital India Mission.
